This original antique portrait was produced by Geo. R. Mitchell & Co, a historic photography studio located at High & Town Streets, Columbus, Ohio, as printed on the reverse. Cabinet cards were the most popular portrait format of the late 19th century and were professionally mounted on thick card. • Original 19th-century albumen print (not a reproduction) • Approx. 1880s–1890s • Subject: Victorian woman with braided hairstyle, period dress & earrings • Photographer’s stamp on reverse • Natural age-related wear and patina consistent with its age Good antique condition. Some surface wear, fading, and marks consistent with a photograph over 130 years old (see photos). No modern restoration.
