The Stroke Band DON FLEMING Black Vinyl Record GEORGIA Anthology Recordings NEW
New and sealed! Id love to sell to you check out my great feedback. No offers, please, but ask about bundles to save on shipping!
"Green and Yellow" by The Stroke Band is a re-release of the legendary1978 album by Deep South art-punk pioneers. Fronted by Bruce Joyner, the band was a wild outlier in 1970s South Georgia. This Anthology Recordings release includes the original album, live recordings from Joes Cellar (a notorious Albany, GA strip club), and rare demos from their Valdosta headquarters
The CD and LP feature rare photos and a detailed history, including stories from Joyner (later of The Unknowns), guitarist Don Fleming (Velvet Monkeys, Gumball, and producer for Sonic Youth, Hole, and more), Mark Neill (Grammy-winning producer of the Black Keys Brothers), and producer Robert Lester Folsom (known for Music and Dreams). A must-hear for fans of Southern punk, art-rock, or psych-inspired rarities.
