The cover features an excellent caricature cachet vignette of Confederate President Davis as “Grandmother administering the sugar-coated pill of secession to Miss Virginia.” The Text beneath reads:

And I’ll give you some Capitol jelly.”
The cover was published by “S. C. Upham, 310 Chestnut Street, Phila.,”measures 5½” x 3," and is in Very Fine Condition, complete with backflap.
